What are the two main countries on the Korean Peninsula?

The two main countries on the Korean Peninsula are North Korea (officially known as the Democratic People's Republic of Korea) and South Korea (officially known as the Republic of Korea). The Korean Peninsula is located in East Asia, and it is bordered by China to the northwest and Russia to the northeast. The peninsula is surrounded by the Yellow Sea to the west and the Sea of Japan (East Sea) to the east.
